Reimagining Streetscapes: The neighborhood of your dreams

The project aims to experiment with the alternative use of a parking space beside Rogaland Kunstsenter, transforming it into a dynamic outdoor meeting place. The initiative will explore various possibilities such as creating a public forum area, a green space with street vegetation, and cycling parking facilities. The project intends to engage municipal authorities and local residents in discussions about mobility, urban planning, and street design, and it will be connected to the global experimentation initiative.
Key directions:
- Experimentation: Test different configurations and uses of the parking space to find the most effective and appealing options for the community.
- Engagement: Foster dialogue between municipal authorities and local residents on urban mobility and street design.
- Awareness: Raise awareness about the potential for multifunctional urban spaces and sustainable mobility solutions.
- Feedback: Collect feedback from the community and authorities to inform/support future urban planning and street design decisions in the area and Stavanger in general.
