RKS bygger ny biblioteksamling – hvilke bøker bør bli med videre?

I forbindelse med tilbakeføringen av RKS-biblioteket til Geir Haraldseth inviterer Rogaland Kunstsenter det regionale kunstmiljøet til å komme med innspill til hvilke bøker og publikasjoner som bør danne grunnlaget for en framtidig biblioteksamling ved RKS.

Rogaland Kunstsenter er i gang med å bygge opp sin egen biblioteksamling i forbindelse med tilbakeføringen av RKS-biblioteket til Geir Haraldseth.

Før samlingen tilbakeføres i løpet av 2026 ønsker vi å invitere det regionale kunstmiljøet inn i prosessen med å forme hva et framtidig RKS-bibliotek kan være. Finnes det bøker, kataloger eller publikasjoner i samlingen som dere mener bør få en plass i RKS sin egen samling?

Vi inviterer derfor alle interesserte til å komme innom RKS og markere titler dere mener vi bør vurdere å kjøpe inn. Det vil ligge små klistermerker klare i biblioteket som kan festes på aktuelle bøker og publikasjoner.

For at vi skal rekke å få med innspill før tilbakeføringen av samlingen, ber vi om at ønsker meldes inn innen fredag 26. juni.

Oppbyggingen av biblioteket er et langsiktig prosjekt, og framtidige innkjøp vil avhenge av hvilke ressurser RKS har tilgjengelig fra år til år, samt muligheten til å finne og anskaffe de aktuelle publikasjonene.

RKS is Building a New Library Collection – Which Books Should Continue Forward?

In connection with the return of the RKS library to Geir Haraldseth, Rogaland Kunstsenter invites the regional arts community to contribute suggestions for books and publications that could form the foundation of a future RKS library collection.

Rogaland Kunstsenter is currently in the process of building its own library collection as the RKS library is being returned to Geir Haraldseth. Before the collection is returned during 2026, we would like to invite the regional arts community to take part in shaping what a future RKS library might become. Are there books, catalogues, or publications in the collection that you believe should become part of RKS’s own collection?

We therefore invite everyone interested to visit RKS and mark the titles you think we should consider acquiring. Small stickers will be available in the library and can be attached to relevant books and publications.

To ensure that we are able to include suggestions before the collection is returned, we kindly ask that all recommendations are submitted by Friday, 26 June.

The development of the library is considered a long-term project, and future acquisitions will depend on the resources available to RKS from year to year, as well as the possibility of locating and acquiring the selected publications.
