Agatha Wara

Kurator og skribent Agatha Wara er på besøk i Stavanger for å snakke om sitt prosjekt ved Bas Fisher Invitational i Miami under kunstmessen der i Desember 2012. 

Agatha Wara is an independent contemporary art curator and writer based in Oslo. In 2012 She received a Master’s degree from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in NY. In the summer of 2012 she relocated to Bergen, to work as Head of Project for Bergen Assembly’s first triennial exhibition “Monday Begins on Saturday.” Past projects include the co-founding and directing of an international contemporary art fair in Tokyo (101Tokyo) and the co-directing of an artists-space in Miami, Florida (Bas Fisher Invitational). Agatha is currently  a correspondent for Artforum magazine and have written for Billedkunst, the Miami Rail, and DIS magazine. She has written on the work of Yngve Holen, Katja Novitskova, Timur Si-Qin, and Anne de Vries, among others. Most recently I curated DISown at Red Bull Studios, and٩١١,000 B.C. at Grand Century both in New York City.
