Dromos
“He thought the garden, naked of these, must endure the sun’s sharpest rays.
Mightiest driver of the wearliess speed in the lightning’s feet
I will not steep my speech in lies; the test of any man lies in action.”
– Olympia 3, The Odes of Pindar
Arrangementet er gratis og alle er velkomne!

A Performance by Julius Smack
“He thought the garden, naked of these, must endure the sun’s sharpest rays.
Mightiest driver of the wearliess speed in the lightning’s feet
I will not steep my speech in lies; the test of any man lies in action.”
– Olympia 3, The Odes of Pindar
Dromos is a performance by Los Angeles-based musician Julius Smack. Backed by a woodwind ensemble, Julius Smack utilizes chamber music tropes, vogue dance, and theatrical modalities to queer the concert form. Dromos interrogates conflict and technology through the narrative of an awoken statue from antiquity.
